A Flood of Water 160 Feet High Rushes Down a Valley.
London, Aug. 28.--A dispatch to the Times from Simla, India, gives further particulars of the flood in the Ghona valley, caused by the bursting of a dam which held back the waters of Ghona lake.
The dispatch says that the waters rushed through the valley at the rate of twenty-two miles an hour, carrying animals, buildings and trees along its course.
In some of the gorges, it is added, the water was 160 feet high. Two suspension bridges were carried away by the flood.
