Canonsburg, Pa.- Local Union 51 elected officers at their last regular turnout. On hand for the event. High turnout on hand for the event. Highlights of the ballot casting was the spirited contest for president between 'Preacher' Hough and 'Ollie' Bails, with H. O. winning out. The results are as follows: President, H. O. Bails; vice president, John (Sinatra) Mammrack; recording secretary, Charles Atkinson; financial secretary, Clarence M. Wright; defense secretary, Rose Koplen; treasurer, Ann Bender; guard, James Green, inspector, Charles Harris; trustee, George Lomax; statisticians, Walter Rose and Dot Tomsic.
Following the meeting a luncheon was served consisting of barbecue sandwiches and coffee. This was followed by a grab gift exchange with a prize being offered to the one receiving the most practical gift. Sister Baxter, of the lower shop, carried away the bacon.
With the start of a new year, how about making a resolution, and keeping same, to attend your local union meetings regularly.--O. C. 51.
