MARY M FINDS LONG LOST VESSEL OLGA H

The fishing vessel Mary M of Cordova reported today from Kayak Island that the vessel sighted on the beach there is the Olga H.

The grounded Olga H was sighted this weekend by a Navy aircraft about 10 miles northeast of Cape St. Elias.

Coast Guard records reveal that the Olga H, owned by the Seldovia Packing Company, was lost by the Sandra of Petersburg while being towed 70 miles east of Cape St. Elias on May 10.

No one was aboard when the vessel was lost.

The Mary M said there were no signs of life, clothing or cooking utensils aboard.

The Mary M was to attempt refloating the Olga H this morning.
