The farmers short course program this week will prove very interesting and instructive for those in attendance.

In full it is as follows:

Yesterday, beginning at 9:50 a.m., Prof. E. F. Pernot discussed "Bacterial Diseases of Poultry;" "Plants: Their Importance on the Farm" was Prof. Lake's topic; Prof. C. I. Lewis spoke on "Harvesting and Packing;" Prof. F. E. Edwards on "Farm Manures" and Prof. A. B. Cordley on "Some Prune Pests"

Today the program will embrace an address on "Bacterial Diseases of Poultry" by Prof. Pernot: "Plants: Their Structure and work," Prof. Lake;

Storage and shipping." Prof. Lewis; "Sheep on the Farm," Dr. Withycombe; "Soil Problems" Prof. Edwards: and "San Jose and other scales" by Prof. A. B. Cordley.

Wednesday morning Prof. Pernot will discuss "Fruit and vegetables," Prof Lake's subject will be "The work of Plants," Prof. Lewis will deal with "The Wheat" Dr Withycombe will discuss "Hogs for Profit," Prof. Edwards will speak of "Leguminous Plants" and "Insects and Fungus Diseases of the Garden" will be discussed by Prof. Cordley

Thursday's program will be as follows:

"Preserving Fruit and Vegetables,"

Prof. Pernot;

"The Fight Against Weed," Prof. Lake;

"Culture of Small Fruits," Prof. Lewis: "The Dairy Cow,"

Dr. Withycombe;

Acid Soils" Prof. Edwards, and

"Insects and Diseases of Farm Crops," Prof. Cordley. Friday will close the week's program, and the subjects to be discussed that day will be:

"Vinegar Making,"

Prof. Pernot;

"Plant Economics," Prof. Lake;

"Organization,"

Prof. Lewis;

"Hints to Farmers." Dr. Withycombe; "Commercial Fertilizer,"

Prof. Edwards,

and "General Discussion," by Prof. Cordley.
