Full Text

The council of liquidation at Paris, under a view of the inconveniences which would result from taking up unliquidated claims for supplies furnished to the colonies, where alone the sums due can be correctly ascertained, has determined to refer such to the local authority of the colonies. Of course the citizens of the United States whose claims of that nature have not been ascertained by drafts delivered to them, must now address themselves in the first instance to those authorities to obtain a liquidation.
