CAR SEIZED BY SHERIFF
TUCSON, Aug. 31.—Mrs. Bertha Stock, who is being detained as a witness in the white slavery case against Garfield Green, yesterday dropped proceedings for the possession of her automobile seized by Sheriff Miles in the superior court before Judge Pace.
The suit was filed Friday afternoon for $500 the value of the automobile, and $100 damages.
Garfield Green, Mrs. Stock and Mamie Ward were arrested some time ago when they are alleged to have been operating a bad check scheme.
The two automobiles were taken charge of by Sheriff Miles after the arrest.
