LITTLE AMERICA, Antarctica, Dec. 30.—(Via MacKay Radio to the United Press).—(Delayed).—Belief the mountains of Marie Byrd Land are rich in minerals was indicated today with the return of the Byrd expedition's geological party from an 825-mile journey.

Paul A. Siple led the first scientific penetration of the newest American geographical claim, eastward through Scott Land into Marie Byrd Land and north through the Edsel Ford range.

The party was in the field for 77 days.
