BANQUET GOV. YZABAL
(Special to Review.)
Cananea, Aug. 22.--Governor Yzabal and Col. W. C. Greene left Cananea Thursday by private conveyance for San Pedro and other points along the International line. Their trip will terminate at Packard Station, where the Governor and his staff will board the burro train for their return trip to the capital.
The Governor expressed his appreciation of the many courtesies bestowed upon him during his visit to the big copper camp by Mr. Greene and the management, by saying that Cananea was the greatest copper camp in the world and that the men at the head of the same were equally as great, they leaving nothing undone to make his stay a most pleasant one.
Wednesday evening a grand ball was given in his honor at Casino Mitchell, there being more than one hundred couples present who tripped the light fantastic to the sweet strains of music until a late hour. The ball was participated in and enjoyed very much by the Governor until a few minutes after eleven when it was announced that a banquet had been prepared and all who had received invitations should at once present themselves at the main entrance of the hotel which had been specially decorated and lighted to dazzling brightness with electricity for the occasion.
No time was lost by the fortunate ones elect who stood in their places ready to partake of the many good things that were to be served as soon as the toasts had been said. After a toast to the health of the Gov. came response by him expressing his thanks and assuring his good will and lasting friendship for his brothers to the north. The Governor proved himself equal to the occasion, as well as a most excellent gentleman. During his short stay he gained many friends among the Americans as well as Mexicans, who will be ever ready to extend to his excellency a most cordial welcome in their midst.
