Skaters Are Organized

CHICAGO, Ill., Feb. 2.—Members of the Western Skating association have met here and formed a permanent organization, which is affiliated with the amateur skating associations of the United States and Canada. The association will include local clubs and organizations of the western and middle western states. Communications already have been received by the organization from Minneapolis, St. Louis and Salt Lake City requesting membership. All important skating meets and racing contests in the west will be held under the sanction of the new organization. Officers were elected as follows: President, Charles Kilpatrick; second vice president, Frank Manning, St. Louis; secretary and treasurer, William C. Hasse. The election of first vice president will be left to the organization of Minneapolis.
