Full Text

We can assure the public, that a Memorial was lately sent from St. James's to the Spanish Court, demanding a release of English prisoners, which have been at different times taken by Spanish vessels on various pretences. From the same authority we also assert that there is not one royal seaport town in Spain, which has not at this time a greater or less number of English prisoners in close confinement. The above point must be settled, before the disputes now subsisting between England and Spain are brought to any termination.
