Rather Striking.
The Senate of Maryland, at the instance and under the pressure of Messrs Bannon, Gorman & Co., passed unanimously, save the votes of Steiner and Suit the Press Inquisition Bill. The lower House under the leadership of Constable, Donaldson and other good men defeat the same Bill, by a unanimous vote, save three.
This proposed bill throws the Poland Gag Law Bill which defeated the Republican party, a year ago, in the shade.
The object of this Bill, was the suppression of the free voice of the press and the hunting of Western Maryland Editors "unto the death."
Desperate indeed have become the uncrowned Kings of Maryland, who rule our (their) Senate.
