LONDON. June 17. Friday. (UP)-
The British steamship Ferndale sent out an S O S call tonight from a point 50 miles northeast of Algiers.
Lloyds was informed in a dispatch from Malta.
The Ferndale is of 9047 tons, bound for London from Brisbane.
The position was given as 36.55 north, 3.55 east, near Dellys rock.
The signal was sent out at 10 p. m.
