Jokebook Tossed At Finance Firm In Rare Manner

It is common knowledge that thousands of barbed jokes have been told at the expense of the nation's finance companies . . . but few entire collections of jokes have ever been dedicated to a finance company.

Actually, it has happened.

Jerry Lieberman, editor of Laff Parade, has dedicated a volume of the 1300 best gags and jokes in the nation to Beneficial Finance Company, according to information received by the local office of the company and manager George O. Ashmore.

This dedication page reads as follows: "When the idea of doing a series of books first came to me, I went to many relatives and friends for the means of seeing it through. Everyone said, 'No.' This book is therefore, dedicated to the one source courageous enough to say, 'Yes.' To the Beneficial Finance Company . . . without whose liberal credit policies it might never have been written—Jerry Lieberman."
