Fire in California Town. Hanford, Cal., Sept. 2.-Hanford had its first fire this morning at 3 o'clock. It totally destroyed six buildings on Doty street, between Sixth and Seventh streets. These included W. B. Dick's saloon and contents; Delta office, loss $700, insurance $450; R. Mills's saloon, loss $150, insurance $900; Simon Jacobs & Co.'s building, $1000, insurance $500; K. Schwartz, $5000, insurance $4000; D. L. Healy, $1000, insurance $1000; J. M. Camp's butcher shop, $300, no insurance; John J. Cortner, $8000, insurance $4660; material in a Chinese restaurant, $50, no insurance. But for the absence of wind and an abundant supply of water, most of the business portion of the town would have been destroyed.
