I have been checking up in Atlanta recently.

When they started this campaign to stampede the people of Atlanta into accepting integration, I decided it was time to do a little investigating.

So, I started around town asking questions from my friends about some of these individuals who have joined in this crusade to force race mixing in the public schools in Atlanta.

I found some strange situations and some strange facts.

In the first place, I discovered that Mr. Ralph McGill, editor of the old rag known as THE ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, sends his only son to a private school. He attends the famous Westminster school in the City of Atlanta.

I also discovered that Mr. Jack Tarver, the head man at THE ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, and THE ATLANTA JOURNAL, sends his children to this same private school.

This is a strange situation for people who have been crying to save the public schools. What do they care about the public schools?

Suppose they mix the white and Negro races up together in Atlanta's public schools. The children of these gentlemen will not suffer. They have already taken out a little insurance against all that.

I couldn't find where Mayor Hartsfield, of Atlanta, has any children.

his school. He might have some grandchildren, but I wasn't able to get the information.

I found another strange situation in Atlanta.

I found that most of these race mixers and these folks who are clamoring for race mixing, live on the North side.

I also discovered that no Negroes live on the North side.

I talked with a friend of mine who is connected with a large real estate company in Atlanta. His company has already made a survey of this whole North side section on the Negro situation. They have anticipated that the courts might some day make them integrate and integration could affect the value of their own property and the property of their customers.

In selling a man a home in Atlanta now he wants to know how his children will be affected in the event race mixing comes along. To sell a home, they have to assure him that there will be no race mixing in the school in his neighborhood.

Consequently, they have found in this whole great area there are only 16 families of Negroes and they are already making plans to move these 16 families out of this area. They find that most of them are servants or work for people who live in the area and that they rent the property.

Consequently, the owners of this property are being contacted and they are arranging to get the Negroes out of the property and out of this area.

So, if race mixing should come these race mixers will not be affected. They live on Atlanta's great North side where there are no Negroes and where they will have the privilege of attending segregated schools regardless of what happens.

Now, Mr. McGill and Mr. Tarver not only live in this area, but they are taking out a little double insurance. They have already placed their children in a private school.

Now this all goes to show you what star-spangled hypocrites these contemptible race mixers are.

They are for it for the other fellow, but not for themselves.

And I want to say also that most of these 311 preachers who signed the manifesto in Atlanta are nothing but a bunch of hypocrites themselves. I want to prove it by what they say and what they do.

In the first place, most of them live in areas where there are no Negroes and their children would never be required to attend a race-mixed school in the City of Atlanta.

I quote from a story taken from THE ATLANTA JOURNAL'S pink edition, of November 25, 1958.

This article was written by Margaret Shannon and I quote what Margaret Shannon said:

"The ministers expressed opposition to mass integration or amalgamation of the races, but said that 'some integration' would be possible in some schools 'without insurmountable difficulty,' though inadvisable in others."

Now here is what would happen if you had race mixing in Atlanta:

In all of this great North side area of Atlanta there would be no race

mixing because the children in those schools would be all white.

The same would be true of all schools located in other great white areas of Atlanta.

There would be no race mixing in the schools which are located in the heart of the great Negro areas of Atlanta. There would be no race mixing because there would be no white children available to mix.

Now, the only mixing would take place on the borders of the two areas where the poor folks live. If race mixing came in the public schools in Atlanta, the only folks required to mix would be the poor whites and the Negroes who live along the borders where the white and Negro areas come together.

Now, this is the "some integration" which the preachers say would be possible in some schools.

The preachers say this kind of race mixing in Atlanta would be possible "without insurmountable difficulty"

Now, they mean that these poor devils on the fringe areas would be helpless and there would be nothing that they could do except take it.

What would happen is that all of these poor white folks in these slum, semi-slum or dilapidated areas, would move out if they were financially able to do so and provided they could find a place to move.

However, if they were unable to move or unable to find a place to move to, they would be caught in the trap set by this glorious bunch of hypocrites and they and their children would be forced to suffer.

The children of the poor devils would catch it. They would be beaten, raped and murdered on the schoolgrounds and in the schoolhouses, while the children of Ralph McGill and Jack Tarver attended Atlanta's fancy Westminster private school.

The children of these poor devils would be required to mix and mingle with the Negroes in these poor areas while the children of these ministers attend segregated schools in the heart of the great white neighborhoods in Atlanta.

Now, according to Margaret Shannon, these preachers say that race mixing in some schools would be inadvisable.

Now, that means the schools which their child, or children, attend.

But these hypocritical preachers say that in some schools the difficulty would not be "insurmountable".

The truth of it is these hypocrites are for race mixing for the other fellow and the poor devil who is so helpless until he can't protect himself.

All of my friends, with whom I talked in Atlanta, agree with me that the pattern as I have pictured it here would be the pattern in the City of Atlanta in case race mixing were forced down the throats of the people of Atlanta.

Now, I did a little more checking in Atlanta. I didn't have time to check every one of these 311 preachers personally.

A lot of them I know. I have personal knowledge about a lot of their churches.

The people with whom I talked know a lot more of them and know first-hand about the churches of a lot more of them.

From the investigation I made, I am satisfied that not a single Negro belongs to a single one of these churches of these 311 hypocritical preachers.

I can't find where a single one of these 311 hypocritical preachers has invited a single Negro boy to visit his daughter.

I can't find where a single one of them has set up an example of race mixing or amalgamation and that's what it leads to for people where it is forced down their throats.

Now, these hypocritical preachers do not ask for all of the Negro children in Atlanta to be given the opportunity of being uplifted by mixing and associating with white children. They do not favor the children on Atlanta's North side, or the other great white areas, being forced to uplift the Negroes by going to school with them.

But they are in favor of what they call "token" integration. They are in favor of just a little bit of integration in Atlanta.

They say that the difficulties in the way of just a little bit of integration are not "insurmountable."

Now, they hope to put the poor white devil, who lives on the fringe and the borders of the Negro areas, in a squeeze and force him and his children to be race mixed so that they and their children may be protected.

Then, when they force these poor white devils into the schools with the poor black devils, they can then shout to the housetops that they have set a "Christian" example in Georgia's capital city in race mixing.

A few weeks ago a Negro from Philadelphia wrote an article in U. S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT. In this article, he drew a picture of these Atlanta hypocrites.

He drew a picture of the hypocritical race mixer who will belong to brotherhood groups, who will belong to love-thy-neighbor groups and Negro uplifting groups, and will meet at these meetings with the Negro, but he won't ask him into his church, or his home. He draws the line on complete race mixing.

This Negro referred to this type of hypocrite as being a "quota" integrationist.

This Negro pictured this type of hypocrite as believing that Negroes ought to be permitted to live in white neighborhoods, but it should be limited to just one or two Negro families.

He said this type of hypocrite talks about race mixing in the public schools, but they want a quota on that. They don't want too many Negroes—just enough to say they have got a little teeny-weeny bit of race mixing.

This Negro should have gone further and said that they wanted all this to happen in areas in which they do not live and in schools which their children do not attend.

However, they are not unselfish enough to think about the position of the white people who live in the country districts and in the small towns.

In the rural areas there will be maybe one white family and several Negro families living on a farm. These cannot be separated by any residential pattern.

The same situation holds true in the smaller towns. The Negroes are not confined just to one area.

These race mixers in the large cities, like Atlanta, are depending upon residential segregation to protect them. The people who live in the country and in the smaller towns know that they cannot be saved by such hypocritical positions.

The people in the small towns and in the rural areas know that they would be forced to send their children to mixed schools.

And that's the reason you find the shouting for race mixing coming out of the big cities. It doesn't come out of the small towns and in the rural areas. The people in the small towns and in the rural areas cannot afford, on account of the realities of the situation, to maintain such a hypocritical position.

Now, I call these people hypocrites and I do it without any apology.

Some of them may in good faith think they are thinking honestly on the subject. But their thinking is not realistic and unrealistic thinking cannot be honest.

If these race mixers lived in the fringe areas with the great Negro sections of the city of Atlanta next door, you might believe that they were sincere in their position. Since they do live in protected areas and since they would not be vitally affected by race mixing, there is no other way to refer to their position except as being hypocritical.

They shout save the public school system at all costs.

If they were realistic about the situation, they would know that race mixing in any public school destroys that school.

If they were realistic in their thinking they would know that this race mixing thing grows. All the NAACP is trying to do now is to get a little token integration. They want to just get their foot in the door. When they get their foot in the door, then they will want more of the same and then there will be complete race mixing.

History teaches us that every nation that has tried token integration has seen eventual complete integration result. They have seen the white race disappear into a mixed breed with Negroid features, Negroid instincts and Negroid tendencies.

This little teeny-weeny bit of integration gathers force over the years and eventually results in a complete amalgamation.

When you place small children of the two races in the same classroom and they are taught to live together, to work together, to go to the same parties and to date one another, marriage in a certain number of cases will inevitably result.

As time goes on, there will be more and more mixed marriages and complete amalgamation eventually results.

These preachers and these race mixers in Atlanta are inviting disaster. They are not only inviting the destruction of the public school system, they are inviting the eventual destruction of the white race and the white man's civilization.
