AT ST ROSE'S.

Rev J. J. Loftus, the new pastor of St John's (R. C.) church, Watertown, is popular with his parishioners and has made friends on all sides in that town. It was a high compliment to him to be selected as the successor of Rev J. H. O'Donnell, who is recognized as one of the ablest preachers of his denomination in the state.

Father Loftus was for three years curate at St Rose's under Father Fox and was liked exceedingly here. His Newtown friends will be gratified to learn of his advancement.
