Two grade school principals, James Baisden and June Chapman Maynard, reported for duty Tuesday at the Lenore graded school.
Baisden, manager of the Kermit liquor store, was first placed at Lenore as principal. At the time he needed six hours college credit to renew his certificate, it was stated.
Mrs. Maynard, daughter of Walter G. Chapman, Hardee district magistrate and lately employed as a truant officer, was assigned to Lenore as principal in case Baisden failed to qualify.
At the board office Wednesday it was stated that Baisden has not yet asked for an application blank for the certification of the required college credit. It is understood he has been granted leave of absence by the state liquor control commission.
Baisden was acting as principal it was announced by Supt. Troy Floyd. Mrs. Maynard, he said, reported Wednesday for duty at the Estep school.
