WANDERED FOUR DAYS.

Frank J. Shields Is Found in Woods in Pitiable Condition.

MUSKEGON, Mich., June 15.—Frank J. Shields, a prominent Muskegon business man, who has been missing from home for four days, was found wandering through the woods in northern part of the county. His clothes were in tatters from contact with the briers and he was in a pitiable condition.

Sheriff Nelson had deputies and special men scouring the northern part of the county for Shields since last Friday. Mr. Shields' wandering away from home is attributed to the severe illness which left him erratic and subject to fits of despondency. During the four days he was missing, he had lived entirely in the woods, according to the officers.

His wife asked that he be kept under surveillance in the jail until his mental condition can be inquired into.
