Maj. Glafcke, publisher of THE Leader, who has been east for the past three weeks, left New York on Tuesday last for home, and is expected here on to-morrow or Sunday. His first stoppage was at Washington, where he secured the extension of mail service over the Cheyenne route to Deadwood and intermediate points. After witnessing the inauguration of President Hayes, he went to Philadelphia and New York in the interest of this paper, and paid a visit to his old home at Hartford, Conn., from whence he is now returning.
