Capt. Trask Paralyzed.

PORTLAND, Or., Jan. 4.—Capt. A. T. Trask, of San Francisco, was stricken with paralysis this afternoon in Judge Sears' court, where he was defendant in the damage suit of J. R. Kelly et al. for alleged breach of contract for the purchase of the ship James Nesmith. Capt. Trask was seated by his attorney, W. W. Cotton, where he had been during the course of the day, when he suddenly fell back in his chair, his right arm fell helpless by his side and he swooned away. A doctor was summoned, and he was removed to the Good Samaritan hospital. His case is considered somewhat serious.
