Politics of the South.—A correspondent of the Boston Daily Advertiser, now on a journey through the Southern States, and who passed through the same part of the country six months ago, informs us that Gen. Jackson's popularity has very much declined in Virginia, and in the Southern States generally. He says that the change in public opinion is most palpable—so much so, that the opposition, in his opinion, have little chance of success, but in abandoning the General, and taking up another candidate.
