QUEBEC, January 14.

By the post from Montreal, we learn, that on the 16th current, in the evening, a party of men, 25 or 30 in number, with fixed bayonets, came to the goal in said town, and carried off 3 men who were confined therein; they were immediately followed by another party, who took the prisoners from them, and returned them to prison: Notwithstanding this they returned about midnight, broke open the goal on the backside, and carried off the three prisoners, who had not been heard of when the post came away.
