Jr. Chamber of Commerce
To Hold Frolic Saturday
Have you ever heard of a matinee at 1 o'clock in the morning? Neither has the Junior Chamber of Commerce but the members have planned one to be the 1 a.m. feature of the Hallowe'en Frolic Saturday and Sunday at the Barbara Worth hotel.
Black cats will stalk the affair which starts activities at 9 a.m., and corn stalks and grimacing pumpkins will carry out the Hallowe'en motif in the lobby, to say nothing of the stealthy witches who will haunt the dark corners.
Elaborate plans have been made to make this annual Frolic the best, gayest and most exciting Hallowe'en party ever held.
The lobby will be highly decorated to give the Hallowe'en atmosphere. Guests will be able to choose their favorite dancing floor as the lobby as well as the downstairs ballroom will be used for dancing.
"Gold Gulch", a little nook reminiscent of the gold rush days, will also be open for use.
Members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce give a Hallowe'en dance annually as one of their main social events.
Upon entering the door, favors of paper hats and noisy noise-makers will be passed out to all guests to assure a festive time to all.
At midnight a light supper will be served.
The executive board is handling all arrangements in cooperation with the hotel management. Members of the board are Aylmer Thompson, chairman; Roy Hammond, Lawrence Hartzog, Robert Maack, Robert Wylie, and Joe Thompson.
