14 YEARS IN PRISON
Given Man Who Killed His Daughter's Sweetheart.

Springfield, Ill., April 1.-In the Christian county circuit court today Edgar Copeland was convicted of the murder of Henry Green, a prominent farmer of Walshville, and sentenced to fourteen years in the penitentiary.

Copeland had been found guilty in Montgomery county, where the jury fixed his punishment at death, but he was granted a new trial.

He shot and killed Green on the highway. Green objected to Copeland's attentions to his daughter.
