A fire broke out in Warren, Ohio, on the morning of the 2d inst., and spread with such fearful rapidity, that, before its destructive career could be stayed, upwards of fifty houses, comprising the most business part of the town, were entirely destroyed. The buildings consumed were, to a great extent, occupied as store rooms, and in the bustle and confusion the goods were thrown on the street, and greatly damaged. We regret to learn that the printing establishments of the "Trumbull Democrat" and the "Liberty Herald," were entirely consumed. In speaking of loss sustained by the citizens of "the burnt district," the Chronicle says:-
"We cannot even guess the loss; but it must be severe indeed. Most of the merchants' stock, we believe, were insured; they were not entirely burned, but at the time we write the square is strewn with them, and much loss must accrue from the confusion incident to their removal.
"The calamity is an awful one to our town, and will be severely felt by very many of the sufferers. In the excitement under which we labor we can do no more than state the extent of the ravages, and leave details to a calmer moment."
We learn that a journeyman tinner, named Frederick Kane, perished in Mr. Jamison's shop.
