Girl Scout Meetings on
Tuesday
Tuesday was a full and big day for the Girl Scouts of Willmar. Miss Olga Carlson, national field instructor of the Girl Scouts spent the entire day here. In the afternoon she met with the troop committees of the three scout troops in Willmar, the American Legion Auxiliary Troop No. One, the Presbyterian Scout Troop No. Two and the Bethel Lutheran Troop No. Three at the library.
Immediately after school she met the scouts of the three groups at the Presbyterian church and gave them special training and inspection. Miss Carlson stated that the troops were excellent and that she was surprised that they were so well trained, because they were far away from a center of activity. She made but few corrections.
Miss Carlson had dinner with the scout captains, Mrs. Wm. O. Rask, Miss Lucille Sanderson and Mrs. Earl Holmberg.
She spent the evening with the captains and outlined the scout work for the coming year. Mrs. A. C. Carlson, chairman of the American Legion Auxiliary Scout committee since its organization was also present at the meetings.
