Republicans Hope To Make Gains In Missouri, Kansas And Oklahoma.

KANSAS CITY, NOV. 6.—AP—Turning to local issues and contests between rival personalities in the midterm trial of the New Deal in the Southwest and Rocky mountain states today as the electorate selected by congressmen, seven senators and six governors throughout the section, except in Texas, expressed confidence of swinging five seats from the 1932 Roosevelt column. They were particularly hopeful of swinging five seats in Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma.

Missouri and Wyoming voted on constitutional amendments.
