The ship Diamond, belonging to Carthagena, from the Indies, arrived in this harbour on the 28th of last month, with a very valuable cargo, consisting of, among other things, 62,711 dollars, 278 bales of cotton, one case of medicinal herbs, two of mother of pearl, and other precious shells, stones, &c. fifty serons of cocoa, one thousand tanned hides, four hundred and three raw hides, and sixteen bolts of cedar.

This morning arrived here from Lima, the American Post, a register ship, having on board, 1,293,557 dollars, 9779 cakes of cocoa, 1220 quintals of copper, in 627 sheets: she sailed the 10th of January, in company with the Trident, another register ship, with which she parted company in a gale of wind, but saw her afterwards off Cape Horn, and lately near Cape St. Vincent, so that her arrival is hourly expected. Her cargo consists in much the same articles as that of the American Post, except that she has in addition some bars of gold and silver on board, and a large quantity of cocoa, which is a very valuable article of traffic here.
