Full Text

DUTCHMEN. AWAKE

A Federal stump orator from Cleveland, by the name of Hurd, told Sheriff Hampton, of Carroll county, that he could do the most among the DUTCH and intended to spend most of his time among them! That's their game, German democrats; they cannot gull those who are capable of reading language, and who are acquainted with our political history, but they "can do most among the DUTCH!" Germans, one and all, keep your eyes open and look out for Ogle's speeches, and other foul slanders. Your liberties are in danger for if Federalism succeeds, you will have crossed the ocean, in quest of Freedom, in vain! - Cosmopolite.
