COMMUNICATION.

MESSRS. PRINTERS,

As the period for choosing a representative to the General Court rapidly advances, it is highly necessary that we should be vigilant in promoting a union of sentiment, and in electing a citizen of talents, on whose integrity and faithfulness we can firmly rely.-- It is my most sincere wish 'that moderation and wisdom may preside in our councils, that we may be enabled to adopt those measures which will reflect honor to the State, and insure the plaudits of our fellow-townsmen.'

It appears from the best information, that the republicans are generally united in MR. RICHARD EVANS, as the most suitable candidate to represent this town in the general court.

This nomination cannot but meet the approbation of all true republicans-if superior merit be considered a just recommendation,--Mr. Evans, therefore shall have my vote in preference to any other candidate.
