COULDN'T STOP FOR FIRE.

Crystal Falls people who were at Iron River last Tuesday during the fire tell an amusing story of the activity of the saloon in the Merchants hotel. The building was on fire and water from the hose was streaming down in all parts of the bar room, but business kept on just the same. One of the proprietors made the statement that business couldn't stop for such a small thing as a fire.

Men stood about the bar, three rows deep and frequently when a glass of beer was dished up water from the ceiling above would drop into the glass, but that didn't matter, everything went and business boomed.
