In Capt. Watt came several Passengers, viz. the brave General Winslow, who in several Enterprizes against the Enemy, during the present War, has had the chief Command of the Provincial Troops, and was at the taking the French Fort of Beausejour, in Nova Scotia, in 1755, and on the Expedition to Crown Point in 1756: He was welcomed ashore by a vast Croud of People, all expressing their Joy upon the safe Arrival of so experienced an Officer to his native Land. The Rev. Mr. James Graxton, of Roxbury, and the Rev. Mr. Bayley, of Beverly, two young Gentlemen who lately went from hence to receive Episcopal Ordination; Mr. Graxton for Christ's Church in this Town, and Mr. Bayley for a Church to be established at Pownalborough, on Kennebeck River. Capt Warner, late of the Ship America, who was taken on his Passage from hence for London, last Fall. Joseph Morse, Esq; Naval Officer for the Port of New London; and several other gentlemen.
