Full Text

The Edinburgh, Quarterly, and Westminster Reviews have each very elaborate articles upon the French revolution and correlative subjects. The Quarterly is milder than could have been expected. It says: 'We feel less alarm for the peace of England than we have done at any time for the last sixteen years.' It regards the two things most necessary to be done as being the suppression of rebellious feelings in Ireland, and the reunion of the Conservative party in politics. The Westminster appears to regard the principal danger of England as likely to arise from false movements upon the currency question.
