Full Text

Theft and Burglary, - We neglected to mention last week the theft of the pleasure yacht Nellie, belonging to a company of our young citizens, some days ago, and the breaking into, in the night season, the lumber office of Messrs. Haskell & Williams, to procure some portion of her sailing gear. The craft was taken by a person named Horace Parker. and a boy, who started up the lake, but finding that she leaked, and having no means of bailing, were induced to run her upon the beach near Geneva, where she was found somewhat injured. Parker was arrested and examined before Squire Boorn, and bound over upon both charges of the indictment, and failing to offer bail, was committed to await trial.
