PERSONAL PARAGRAPHS
J. R. Shaw, of Horse Creek, is in the city.
W. S. Phillips and Sam Smith are visiting Denver.
Secretary Spates is expected back about the 20th inst.
Superintendent Law returned yesterday from North Platte.
W. C. Lykins, Laramie county stock inspector, went east yesterday.
M. R. Tate. Otero, N. M.; and W. H. Hewes, Kansas City, are at Dyer's.
Mr. F. F. Langholf, an Albany county cattle man, is at Caswell's Inter Ocean.
G. M. Jones, proprietor of the Railroad house, returned yesterday from Fort Collins.
Robert and Matthew Frewen, the English capitalists, returned yesterday from Montana.
F. S. Hambleton and J. E. McCrary, the Chugwater stockmen and capitalists, are registered at Dyer's this morning.
D. G. Croley, of the New York Graphic, passed through on the west bound passenger train yesterday afternoon.
Mlle. Josephine, the celebrated variety actress, passed over the road yesterday, en route from 'Frisco to Gotham.
Rev. E. D. Buckner, pastor of the First Baptist church of Indianola, Iowa, paid a visit last night to newspaper headquarters.
At the Inter Ocean this morning are: F. J. Coleman, Boston; J. W. Mott and A. Robensmith, Saratoga, N. Y., and E. Robbins, St. Louis.
H. G. Balch and Frank Sargert, two well known cattle men of the Laramie plains, are in the city. Mr. Balch expects to return home this afternoon.
The following were autographed at the Railroad house yesterday: G. W. Newton, Boston; Wm. F. Lambach, Chicago; Charles O. Ford and G. J. F. VanDyke, Central City, Col.
Mr. Will. F. Hosford is going to shortly reside at Silver Cliff, Colorado.
He is an "old timer" here, and his departure will be deeply regretted-especially by his many lady friends.
Mr. L. Cass Davis expects to leave this afternoon for Colorado. Cass has resided here several years, and during that time has secured to himself a host of friends, who will sincerely mourn his departure.
Col. A. Worth Spates, secretary of Wyoming territory, reached Baltimore on Monday last en route for Washington, D. C., upon official business. Col. Spates gives a glowing account of his new home, and is well pleased with the country and the people.-Baltimorean.
