8 Candidates Registered For 'Queen of Trail' Crown

Eight candidates for the "Queen of the Trail" have been announced, to vie for the Arctic Club Race crown.

The Queen of the Trail will be crowned at the Mushers' Ball, to be held Saturday, April 9, during the two-day Arctic Club Dog Race.

Candidates and sponsors are as follows: Edna Johnsen, Nome Education Association; Caroline Johnson, Alaska Native Brotherhood; Lois Okitkon, Alaska Cab; Jo Ann Reed, North Star; Lurisse Lowe, N. C. Store; Clarisse Hardy, Billikin Gift Shop; Grace Davis, U. S. Merc & Nome Hardware; Diane Wallace, Don-Dee's Market.
