THE SERVICE BOARD

At the meeting of the board of public service yesterday the clerk was requested to ask the county commissioners to deposit $3500 with the city treasurer to pay for the construction of the sanitary sewer from the north corporation line to the county infirmary.

The chief of the fire department was requested to return to the board all of the rope taken by him after the dedication ceremonies.

The city engineer reported that it would cost $138.80 to build a sidewalk at the property at Cassilly and Second streets and the board will ask the council to appropriate that sum for the work.

The engineer was instructed to enter into a contract with Harry Corl to construct a seven-foot sidewalk in front of St. Mary's church on South Market street as asked for in a petition.
