At a meeting of the State Board of Agriculture, held in Reno April 30, President Powning presiding, it was decided to offer a special premium of $100 gold coin for the best exhibit made by any county (Washoe excepted) in the State, and $50 gold coin for the second best exhibit, with the hope that each county in the State will make an exhibit in the Pavilion similar to those made at the California State Fair last year by the several counties.
The Board changed the rules to reduce the price of admission to the track from $1 to 50 cents. Season tickets, admitting man and wife and minor children for the entire ten days were placed at $10.
The Board authorized special prizes, in the shape of valuable medals from the American Clydesdale Association, for the best Clydesdale stallion or mare, bred in Nevada, exhibited at the State Fair of 1887.
