HOLLYWOOD. Oct. 19 (UP)- Freddie Bartholomew's salary is going to be more than doubled to $98,000 a year, but was the curly headed English lad excited about it today? Not Freddie. The 14 year old "Little Lord Fauntleroy" of the films had all but forgotten about the peaceful ending to his bitter contract battle in his interest over a purely "personal" contract with Producer Louis B. Mayer. Mayer is raising the spending money of the $2000 a week star from 5 cents a day to $1 weekly. Freddie was happily waving his first week's banknote. The boy actor fidgeted wearily for half a day in court while Judge Clement L. Shin sanctioned the new contract yesterday. It pays him $2000 for each of 40 weeks film making plus $3000 a week for six weeks personal appearance tour. The old contract, over which Freddie nearly left Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios, paid $1100 a week for 40 weeks.
