Full Text

State of Trade.—We regret to state that the woollen cloth manufacture of the West Riding still continues in a very languid condition. Very little business was done in either the coloured or white cloth halls on Tuesday, and the stocks are in consequence accumulating. Huddersfield market was also very indifferent. The carpet trade is better; many of the masters have given an advance of wages. Bradford market on Thursday was tolerably brisk, and a fair quantity of goods were sold.—Leeds Intelligencer.
