Full Text
Mr. Doren, on yesterday, showed us a copy of a paper from old Plymouth (Plymouth Rock we should say, in order to be distinctly understood.) It is not such an old paper as you might imagine,—only 45 years of age. But it cometh from ye very most ancient seat of our forefathers. We looked the journal over, with Alf, and agreed, complacently, that they did not know how to get up a paper, in the old homes of the East. As Alf remarked: in an Eastern country paper, you have to look to the advertisements for local news. Still, it was something bordering on a sensation to us,—reading a paper from old Plymouth.
