FRIDAY MORNING, JUNE 2, 1826.
The Baltimore Chronicle of May 22, states that Congress adjourned at daylight on the morning of that day. The resolution from the Senate proposing to extend the session until Thursday, was rejected in the House by a majority of ten votes. Mr. Monroe's claim, amounting to twenty-nine thousand dollars, including interest, was finally passed. It was feared that the appropriation of $45,000 for the repairs of the Cumberland Road, did not receive the sanction of the Senate.
