Break Up Nest of Shoplifters
Boston, Dec. 16--As the result of the arrest of two women and the recovery of a quantity of merchandise in a raid on a Boston hotel, the police today said that a highly organized gang of men and women shoplifters had been broken up. Fur coats, dresses and toilet articles were seized in the course of a raid on the rooms of Miss Rose Diamond and Mrs. Pearl Duffy.
They were held in $1500 bail on larceny charges.
Two male companions were arrested and subsequently released.
According to the authorities, shoplifting ring has been in operation here which was perfected so that it could dispose of valuable furs almost instantly.
