Afflicting Providence.—On Monday week, at a late hour, the large dwelling-house of Mr. Alexander Balbridge, of Romulus, was consumed by Fire, which we understand originated from some ashes taken up and deposited outside the house. So short a notice had Mr. B. and family, of their awful situation, having retired to bed, that in their struggle to rescue two females from the flames, who slept in the chamber, his two youngest children (twins) aged two years, who were reposing in the lower part of the house, were consumed by the flames.
