COMMERCIAL FISHING OPEN IN NORTON SOUND

Steve Pennoyer, commercial fisheries biologist from Anchorage, advises that due to the small amount of commercial gear in the area and the fact that no substantial increase is anticipated, that part of Norton Sound from the mouth of the Solomon River west to Cape Douglas, is open to commercial fishing seven days per week. Fishing for personal use is also open seven days per week.

Commercial licenses may be obtained from Mabel Johnson, Nome. A license is required for personal fishing.
