Elks from Sidney, Glendive, Miles City, Glasgow and Wolf Point gathered at the Wolf Point lodge Sunday for district ritualistic contests.
Coming out on top in competition was a Glendive team from Lodge 1324. Sidney's Lodge 1782 was second, Miles City's 537 third, Wolf Point Lodge 1764 fourth and Glasgow Lodge 1922 fifth.
In individual competition Sidney's exalted ruler won top honors. Top esquire was from Miles City and top leading knight was from Glendive as was the top royal knight. Top lecturing knight was from Miles City. Top inner guard and top chaplain were from Glendive.
Five judges, three from Glendive and two from Williston, officiated. Chet Johnson of Sidney and Mr. Provost from Glendive were computers. Harry Ward, Glendive, district ritualistic chairman, presided. Special guest for the day was Ray Kelly of Polson, president of Montana Elks.
Dinner was served competing teams by Robert Frazer, Frank Presser and wives of Wolf Point Elks members.
