CHARLESTOWN, January 13,

The enemy's naval force in Georgia, according to information received from some deserters, who left Savannah the first instant, and arrived here last Friday, then consisted of the Phoenix of 44 guns, Commodore Hyde Parker, Fowey 24, Vigilant 24, a floating battery, formerly mounting 24 and 18 pounders, but her metal now reduced to sixteen 18 pouncers, and eight 12, the Lord Hyde 20, a packet boat, eighteen of her guns four pounders, the Britannia and New Broom 16 each, both brigs, they have but two six pounders each, the rest of their guns are fours, the Comet seven, formerly our state brig, but cut down, rigged, and fitted as a galley, she was towed all the way from New York by the Fowey, her metal one 18 pounder in her bow, and 6 sixes, in her waist, the Black Prince 10, a sloop mounting 3 and 4 pounders, and the Jason, a French built ship, mounting 22 six pounders, fitted out at New York as a privateer, commanded by Captain Hugh Porterfield, and met with cruising off this bar, her crew not exceeding 75 men and boys; which ship, they add, was the only vessel preparing to put to sea.

The deserters all agree that the land forces, under Lieut. Col. Archibald Campbell, cannot exceed 3000 men.

A brig from Boston, and a schooner from Port-au-Prince, not suspecting the fleet at Tybee to be an enemy's, ran into the midst of it, and were taken.
