New York, May 5.-Extraordinary attention is being given to the drawing of the extra panel of 150 jurors from whom will be selected the twelve who will try Alderman Jaehne, the first of the aldermen to be tried for bribery. Usually the panel is drawn in the presence of a judge of the supreme court and representatives of the sheriff and county clerk. To-day Judge Barrett opened the court of oyer and terminer and ordered the jury box to be brought into open court and that the names should be drawn from it by the commissioner of jurors in the presence of the sheriff and the county clerk in person.
