No decrease in the volume of parcel shipments could be noticed this morning at the local postoffice, according to W. A. Langston, superintendent of mails. "We're just as busy as ever," he declared.
(Practically every shipment this morning and early this afternoon was addressed to points in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas where deliveries can be made before Christmas or on Christmas day. Many of the early shipments, Supt. Langston said, were addressed to points in distant states.
The incoming parcel post shipments will be delivered by two men who will devote their entire time to the delivery of parcels. This service will be maintained throughout Christmas day and will not be discontinued until the evening.
One city delivery will be made Saturday-Christmas day. No rural deliveries will be made. The general delivery and postal windows will be open two hours in the morning.
