PLATTSBURG, December 9.

"UNCLE SAM'S PAY"—AGAIN.

The detached militia of this State, who have been stationed at this post for these three months past, are principally discharged, and are to leave this place to day. For the encouragement of the citizens of this State to unite in defence of "Free Trade and Sailors' Rights,"—and, when called for, to turn out "to a man," and march to subdue the Canadas, we have to inform them that the aforesaid militia are not permitted to leave this, and get to their homes as they can; without (as they inform us) a cent of their pay, or even so much as the offer of a solitary Treasury Note, some of them the distance of 200 miles. Yesterday a number of them were about our streets begging for assistance, declaring that it was by the benevolence of the people, only, they had hopes of being enabled soon to reach their homes.

Who will not "unite" in this righteous war, and support the just and wise administration who declared it?—Union! UNION!
